Campaign for Justice in Bhopal - 25th Anniversary

1. The 25th Anniversary  of the Bhopal Disaster means 25 years of courage in the face of corporate crime, to call for a toxic free future for all of us!
2. The 1984 Bhopal Gas Disaster was the worst Industrial disaster in history, killing over 23,000 people to date.
3. We are looking to do major events like films, survivor tours, media outreach, Int'l medical panel, People's Tribunal - but we need money to do these.
4. We need 1000 people to donate $25 or 250 people to donate $100 for our Anniversary actions. Please donate what you can.
5. We all live in Bhopal and we will not rest without justice in Bhopal!

Public Advocacy - Civil Rights and Liberties

It’s hard to imagine that nearly 25 years ago, a Union Carbide pesticide factory in Bhopal, India sent a cloud of poisonous gas over a sleeping city and killed thousands in one night. What is harder to imagine is that, after all of these years, second and third generations of Bhopali children are still being poisoned by toxins left at the factory that have been steadily seeping into their water supply.

Nearly half a million people were exposed to poisonous methyl isocyanate during a runaway chemical reaction at the Union Carbide plant in Bhopal on December 3, 1984. Since then, more than 22,000 people have died and 150,000 survivors continue to be chronically ill, as the Indian government and Dow (Union Carbide's owner) have repeatedly failed to address their liabilities for the atrocities of the world’s worst industrial disaster.

We need your support. The 25th Anniversary will be an opportunity to increase the pressure on both Dow and the Indian government, and ensure justice for the people of Bhopal.
