Had a good time watching a mosquito fly around the room until Esri noticed my head bobbing and spotted it. Then had a good time watching her try to kill it. She didn't, of course. Humans -- they got no game.

Pile of feathers in the front yard...? I'm as shocked as you are! Blame the swamp-cooler guys. They look HUNGRY.

Went into my bay window last night and found Esri had thoughtfully left me a glass of water with a sprig of some kind of plant in it. Cocktail! The glass was too narrow, so I had to knock it over. Unfortunately, all the water went behind the couch and into the heater. Merde. Next time, she'll give me a bigger glass.

Esri let me run out of kibble overnight. What was she THINKING?

Left dead finch in yard instead of bringing it in the house. Esri still found it. Got in trouble and had to roll over and show pink spot on belly where fur isn't thick. Problem solved.

Esri and The Man didn't know I was in the bedroom last night when they shut the door! Hee hee! I got to lay on the bed for a little before Esri woke up and petted me. Made me both squeaky AND drooly, so I got down and she let me out. I don't know why they don't let me sleep with them. No one needs to sleep for more than 40 minutes at a time.

Yay! I have my first friend! Esri says Tez lives on the other side of the world. When I think of all the stuff over there that I haven't chin rubbed, I get kind of dizzy.

Plus, this new kitty's name? It says on his nametag -- "Kitty." I'm sorry, but owners can't expect their pet to have the proper catly 'tude with a name like that.

New kitty in town, and some might say he's prettier than moi! They'd be wrong, of course, but he does look like a charcoal Pepe Le Pew. Could be my brother, in fact. Lucky for him he's fixed, or I'd have to get REALLY threatening.

When will these workmen LEAVE? It's not that I'm scared of them, but their big clompy boots startle one so.
