I have been through some of your blogs and I must tell you the obvious. You are a damn good writer! Some of the things I read felt like a literary reflection of my own mind and that reinstated my hope in a future that respects open-mindedness, tolerance and understanding towards even those things that seem horribly strange at first.

I agree with you completely, Subir. You have very succinctly analyzed the situation prevailing in the nation. About 75 % earning less than US $ 2 a day, rampant corruption, casteism, sectarianism (I am not employing the much hackneyed Indian-English word "communalism"), etc. It is a wonder that the poor have not risen up in revolt. It is not a question of "if" anymore: it is purely a question of "when". When the poor revolt, it will be the bloodiest and most ferocious revolution the world would have witnessed in more than a millenium. The French, Russian and Red Chinese revolutions will pale into insignificance.

The time has come to wake up and save the nation, otherwise there is nothing which can prevent bloodshed on an unimaginable magnitude. Civil War is nigh. We have failed our poor totally.
