Hello to All, I'm Mary and have the pleasure of being owned by 5 dachshunds (4 red long hairs and 1 black/tan smooth) along with 4 other dogs...all are rescues and special needs. Glad I found this great dachsie blog...looking forward to adding this to my day!

I adopted both my Dachshunds from Diamond Dachshund Rescue and I love them. If I had room for more I would adopt 2 more. My best friend has rescued 4 Dachshunds so we support rescues of all kinds.

Our family is thinking of adopting or fostering a Standard Doxie. We live in North Idaho and plan on traveling this spring, down to the southern part of the US. Feb March and April...maybe we could make a Doxie Dash out of the trip? =-)

Hi dachshund lovers! I am a doxie lover, too, although right now I have a rescued coonhound! (if you ignore the legs and just concentrate on the hounddog face, you can pretend she's a really big standard doxie!)

I am a Dachshund breeder, and I have a black and cream due any day, she has champion bloodlines and so does the father, and am hoping for some English creams, they will be some of show quality, but I Love this breed so much especially the longhaireds they are so sweet and laid back, great lap dogs.
