Thank you Brenna! I'm just thrilled you are reading my blog!

Your response to our "discussions" in high school amazes and humbles me. We were truly blessed with our circle of friends, weren't we? Looking back...I am so thrilled that what appeared to be an argument to me was witnessing to you. I just can't imagine it, but God indeed does wonderful things. I think you are right...the Spirit must have had your heart ready to handle those conversations. You are right...God does have a plan "in times of dissent or discontent"! I'm so glad He does.

It is awesome to hear from you!!!

Caryn, I read the Committing to Community piece and have been meaning to comment. I remember all of those "heated" discussions about scripture/church doctrine in high school. I was witnessed to through these discussions. Christians raised in the Church often perceive debate over scripture as negative-I've experienced this even within my own marriage. I know I became friends with everyone at that table because the Holy Spirit wanted me to learn and take note. I was so amazed at how high school students could be so passionate and focused on God-that the Bible was the preferred topic of discussion. I feel satisfied in the decision to accept Christ my senior year of high school because I chose to Love Jesus and I was able to figure out the way God wanted me to worship. I've learned that even in times of dissent or discontent-God has a plan-which usually leads to future blessings! I hope you continue to expand your writing-you have a gift girl-keep it up!
