Hi Michael -- we haven't met, but I'm a colleague of our mutual friend Justin who is soon to return to you and Sydney. Saw your blog (and book), and thought I come aboard for the thoughts you share. Thanks and keep 'em coming. Clifford Swartz in NYC.

I just found your blog... am reading Ricouer's Oneself as Another in conjunction with Heidegger's Being and Time to deal with the need for gender tension in the dialog of self, which Heidegger neglects along with much favorable regard for the social world. You blog on the 28th of March explaining ipse and idem was quite helpful!

Well now: what a good question. I think I will blog on, though it will be different. I think a student has a lot more liberty than a person who is working for a confessional institution. Much of my blogging has been thinking aloud... but as a lecturer at Moore College I in some way represent them, and so I think an element of caution is in order. Also, I am am interested in using blogging as an educational tool - so, it may be that we see class-related posts. We'll see what works.
