Right now it may look just fine, although it's a tad bit early to be precise. Late November looks fairly good at the moment though.

Any ideas how start of Dec is looking?

The moment the rainy season starts it turns bad for a couple of days. Usually that's not until November though.

Thanks Camille, if the rainy season does start early how bad is it? Is it worse than Bangkok at the moment? Is it just abit of rain once aday and then sunny for the rest or does everything shut up ?

October can swing both ways, either the nice and sunny September continues or if we're a bit unlucky and the rainy season starts early........... Usually it remains fairly dry though and the rain doesn't really start until November.

I've been following your blog for the last few weeks since booking a trip to Samui will be there 2nd week in Aug! Really can't wait it is our first time in Thailand and so pleased that you say weather should be good in Aug. Husband and daughter dive so they are excited about somewhere different to Red Sea and Caribbean. Thanks for blog really good! :)

I cannot wait til we arrive on Samui 4th July...first time in Thailand. We have been to Malaysia and Indonesia and fallen in love with them, hopefully Thailand will have the same effect. x
