I will say that I think McCain does what McCain thinks is right... he felt this is what the right thing to do was... so he did it. I admire that aspect of his character. However, I do sometimes question the implied "no matter what" reasoning... I don't think it shows good judgment to do something because your gut tells you... damn all the consquences... sometimes I wonder if McCain thinks things through well enough (this is one of those times).

McCain going to Washington WAS a good move. Reason being-The Dems claiming McCain STOPPED their process is great move!
Stopping Congress from loading up the pork in a time of crisis is McCain's platform.
Currently Dems were allocating the reclaimed monies to HTF (ends up in ACORN housing etc) ... and how many people forget that Bush is a 'Compassionate' Conservative... spending anyone?
Dems are in heaven over this... no one is blaming them (where the blame should squaring be); they are looking like they are in the RIGHT to RESCUE businesses-wallstreet & mainstreet (does that make sense to any of you?)
Republicans need to get on the ball and start outlining 2 points... *announce where the blame truly lies & our platform-keep gov't out of our pockets... *and that our Economy is a matter of National Security... another McCain stronghold.
Many opinions are the government should stay out of this and let Capitalism do its job... let's
