I agree... the more positions he can play, the less time he'll spend on the bench. Which has proven not to be a good role for a swing that needs frequent oiling. Dickerson is on fire. Gonna be tough to win LF but with the double switch opportunity of the NL, a bench spot could be a great fresh start job this spring for Gomes.

I think Jonny will make the Reds. I don't have much to base this on, but he is much more valuable if he can hold down a backup first base gig along with the outfield.
