he needs to find a diamond dealer. they sell odd sized diamonds and they are much cheaper than retailers. then, he can buy a band separately and have it set by a jeweler. SHE needs to describe to him what is more important to her, the diamond or the band. she can't have both a big diamond and a pavet band if he's on a budget. he can get it done for $1,500, i promise.
