Resume ideas. Not sure of the effect, but one video on MSNBC showed that sometimes leaving out the year of College Graduation actually might Help your resume.

The person interviewed said that she had been sending out here resume with no response at all. She did the following:

A. Dropped the year of her College Graduation from her resume leaving only the college name and degree
B. Took a nice photo of herself
C. Had a website created included the photo and her resume information

She said that she got three job offers not long after that!

In one of my first Blog posts I spoke about the power of your University's Career Services (UCS) Department as being a great source for Career Leads.

I also mentioned my school, Pace University. The person in charge of Alumni Career Services, Dr Barry Miller, has created a Facebook page dedicated to Careers that is Open to everyone.

Your Business and Career Launch require something else that some don't consider, YOU.

You need to focue and plan out what you want to do within your current time limitation allowing for above all things REST.

Plan out the time you will devote to your Career Search or Business Launch. Figure out which times are best for you and your current situation.

Work/Life Balance is something we all have to work on as it's a job in and of itself!

Hope these posting have been a little helpful and provoke some thoughts.

I started back in the 1990's doing what I called "Information Highway Lessons" on the Internet Technologies of the current day.

Feel Free to browse the Lessons, Online Conferences conducted on the then, Compuserve Online Service and more at the following website:

It's your Business Or Career, but you may find yourself asking, is my current PC enough?

I've found and I've been told the same thing. You know it's time to upgrade or get a new system, when all that you need to do can't be done with your current system.

If your current system allows you to get done what you need to get done, it may not be time to change. Today's technology changes so fast that what the "latest" today, is "old" tomorrow. It's best to make the move, when you NEED to make the move.

It your current internet speed getting the job done? That will be a good indicator if you need to consider something else.

Instead of "keeping up with the jones", focus on keeping you with what you need and when you need it. It'll save you alot!

With either Business or Career, one thing is true, the learning never stops.

If you are finding in your career or business launch that there are certain skill sets that you are lacking, you'll want to look online to see where you can get more information for that Skill set.

Your University or another may actually have a course offering in that very skillset.

You may find that you already studied a certain skill set, but you need to update it to be on top of what is happening. Here is where also your Network (Online and Offline) may also be able to point you in the right direction. It's in the NETWORK.
