Let's consider the most recent vote by the newly elected Republican from Louisiana Anh “Joseph” Cao who was the lone Republican to vote yes on the federal takeover of the US Healthcare system. How can that be? Simple, the Republican party has lost its way as evidenced by the Cao vote and the Hoffman debacle in New York's 23rd District. The defeat of Hoffman and the Cao vote rests squarely on the shoulders of the Republican Party. There is little to no sense of self and who and what Republican stands for.

No wonder there is a ground swell of people calling for a new third party. Before I agree to a third party I'd like to see if it is first possible for us to get a viable second party before considering a third. For too many years there has been little to no difference between the Republican and Democrat parties. The leadership of both parties are progressive liberals!
