Like butterflies, women of color come in all shades, shapes, sizes and styles. We come from different walks of life, have varied interests and a range of experiences. We are each unique and possess a beauty that is our own. Mahogany Butterfly's mission is to bring us together and celebrate the beauty, radiance and strength that we each embody. This is YOUR site. At every click you will find various opportunities and encouragements to contribute in order to make this site a reflection of YOU. Our intention is not to simply fill these pages with content that speaks at you -- telling you what you should be interested in, or who you should want to be. We are interested in speaking with you in an effort to get to know who you are and to create an environment that enables us to learn from one another, teach one another, share with one another and grow with one another. To achieve this, the most valuable, honest and important content found throughout these pages is the content generated by YOU each day. As Black women, many of us have felt an unspoken bond. This is true whether we are blood-relatives, life-long friends, or strangers in a room of unfamiliar faces, who give each other that familiar nod or reassuring smile that says "you have a friend here."
