My family has family members buried in a cemetery, Brown Family Cemetery in Clinton, Louisiana. My father use to take care of it, he and Nauman Taylor, a cousin, fenced it. The land the cemetery sits on has now been sold. The new owner will not allow access to it. The headstones are broken. We want to go in and repair the damage fix the fence but she will not allow it. Is there any law in place that can help us gain reasonable access to a cemetery on private lands?
