I'm the owner of USA based Genesis Press (www.genesis-press.com), but I do non-book related business in East Africa. Our publishing company is considering translating some popular english self-help and fiction books into Kiswahili for sale in East Africa and among those interested in the language. I would like to have comments of the virtues, or lack thereof, of this idea and the barriers to success. We realize that we would have to keep the paperback retail cost at less than $3 per book to make any in roads but believe that can be done
