I have not always received positve feedback when I tell people to train others to replace themselves. They ask me, "Pastor, are you training someone to replace yourself?" My answer is, "Absolutely, but God has not led me to step aside." If the church will not replicate itself, then it will be ineffective in achieving its mission.

Read all postings. I particularly liked your thoughts on "systems." I believe that is a prime issue in nearly all congregational style churches. They are unhealthy because of their system of allowing so many unhealthy people pour their venom into the water supply. Look forward to interacting on your future posts.
