Just do it. If I can make a feature film, anyone can. I'm just about to start my third and like anything else, you learn by doing, mistakes are just lessons, and you make the time. Read, read, read - there are so many wonderful resources here. Find like-minded friends and collaborate, but do it.

I've enjoyed reading your blog & appreciate the screenwriter's links. Something that quickly got my attn was I read you have 2 young sons, & obviously you're living in NY & pursuing the same field I'm interested in...So what I want to know....is how you did/do it? I mean, seriously. I have 2 boys, ages 11 & 7, & am currently having a hard time finding a job, so I began to realize this is the time for me to redirect my life & finally prioritize my own goals. I know no one else can really tell me step-by-step what will work for me to accomplish them, but I'd really love to hear how other's have accomplished, even begun to accomplish, their dreams. I don't know whether to look toward college (which would HAVE to be funded by scholarship or f.aid) or to try to learn/polish the craft on my own via trial, error, & damn good software. Anyhow, I just think any advice would be inspirational. ♥ Happy Holidays, Jen
