Here's a weird one I haven't seen on wtfmetro's blog. Not too long ago, I jump on the red line at Metro Center, found an empty seat, settle in next to the window, and zone out. A stop or two later, a woman gets on, sits down next to me. As we continue on down the red line (I ride it all the way to the end) more and more people depart, leaving empty seats. She doesn't move. No big deal, she's not really bothering me, but my experience is that people usually take the opportunity to spread out if they have a chance. Eventually the train pulls into Shady Grove station; the end of the line. The doors open, everyone gets off the train... EXCEPT the woman sitting next to me. She sits there. For a few awkward seconds I just sit there too, and finally I say, "Excuse me." She replies, "Oh, is this your stop?" I smile, and say, "Uh, this is the end of the line, this is EVERYONE's stop". She looks around puzzled and says, "Sh*t, I went the wrong direction." Poor woman.
