Ah. I get you, RouX. I guess in my little part of the universe, I'd be happy if the only mistake people made about evolution is thinking we descended from apes. That would be about five steps in the right direction for a lot of them.

I was not arguing the classification, but our origins. The source hominid was not an ape. Trust me I am not in denial here. I can monkey around as much as the next man. I'm sure you agree that letting them say we are 'descended' from apes is at least 'misleading'.

RouX, we are apes. That is our classification. We are, in fact, descended from an ancestor common to Pan and Homo, an ape-like primate, but if you check the textbooks, you'll see that we are, without any asterisks, apes.
