Description:	I first heard the phrase “excelsior” in the old Stan Lee Soapboxes for Marvel Comics. It means, in latin, EVER UPWARD, which is a pretty good motto for life. We should always be learning, ever evolving, open to change that leads to growth. I don’t take it to mean upward movement in status or wealth, but in character and in continually working for the benefit of everyone. This blog focuses primarily on my interests in art, language, literature, and philosophy, as well as on my passion for service, but may be expanded at any point I see fit. It’s my blog so I make the rules. Well, most of the time.
