I happened to come across the Allen Fieldhouse posting on the blog (from Aug. 2008?) on google. Being a KU graduate myself, and a recent graduate of Maryland for grad school, I definitely see what you mean when you say it reminds you of Cole.

I went to UMD from 06-08, and never experienced a game in Cole, but going in that building a few times it definitely had an old-school vibe that reminded me of Allen and made me a bit sad that Comcast is its successor.

Allen is an amazing place to see a game, as I'm sure Cole was. I think it's so beloved by the fans that there would be serious rebellion if the money guys atop the athletics dept. ever tried to replace it. It would be like replacing the White House with a McMansion. It's just not the same!

Keep up the good work on the blog!
