...came accross your blog searching for Palatine newsletters. I am a real estate agent in Saugerties N.Y who recently aquired the listing of one of our towns 1st 12 houses. This house was built some 240 yrs. ago By Christian Myer for his son Johansen... if anyone has any information that may help me, or perhaps a newsletter or magazine I can advertise in ? Would LOVE this beautiful home to be returned to it's rightful owners, thanks, Cherie, upstate NY

I found it necessary to google information about myheritage.com and the steps necessary to remove it from my computer. I found your information at http://blog.dearmyrtle.com/2009/03/trouble-brewing-re-myheritage-family.html to be accurate. I have a different problem with My Heritage. It seems that it has hijacked my google search page. I cannot paste a screen print here to show it but there is a My Heritage "tree" icon to the left of my Google search window and "MyHeritage Search" appears in my IE search window. At no time during installation did I give permission for My Heritage to alter any settings in either Google or IE. I am no going to attempt to rid my computer of this pest by reinstalling IE. While I will stop short of calling this a virus, though the practice they employ is an agressive tactic that will leave many people less knowledgable about PC's stuck with their advertising gimmicks. Shame on My Heritage for sinking this low.
