Hi Estelle - please enlighten me on what the current best practices are for testing a JavaScript variable which may be null or undefined. My recent experiences with IE and FF were very frustrating in that they don't behave the same. I ended up with some ugly compound expresssions which test for undefined first and then test the actual variable.

Do conditional comments always have to be placed in the document head? I tried to place before the closing body tag, but didn't seem to work. For SEO purposes, I like to minimize non-subject matter matter from the top of the document. Thanks!
