for me, it's a good to great performance by a favourite star, and is the film engrossing enough to make me search out the book or play from which it is made. I saw ONE MORE RIVER before I saw FRANKENSTEIN, and Colin Clive's performance introduced me to the works of Galsworthy. When an actor or actress inspires the reading of the original...THAT'S CLASSIC!
