Adam Scott: DFL & Without Kate Hudson

Aug 6, 2009
Adam Scott has had a rough 2009. He was recovering from a busted knee that he suffered during surfing in the off season. Then, his rumored suaree and relationship with Kate Hudson turned out to be a hoax (that I capitalized on during Apri...

Like Pro Wrestling, Golf Needs Some Bad Guys

May 5, 2009
I was lounging around on the ole Twitter machine this morning and trying to break up some writer's block for a long piece I'm trying to write. I saw a Tweet from the PGA Tour's (@pgatour) account that definitely broke the block...

Embrace the Gimmick that is the 17th at Sawgrass

May 4, 2009
Depending on who you talk to on which day at the Players Championship, they will tell you varied opinions of the island green, par 3 17th hole. Personally, I think it is a gimmick hole. Still...

Why I Feel Empathy for Tim Finchem & the PGA Tour

Dec 18, 2009
I phoned into the PGA Tour's press conference yesterday morning.  Under most circumstances, the press conference would be a relatively benign review of '09 and a brief preview of '10.  Everyone on that call yesterday knew that was not going to be the...

Tiger's Own Words May Be Cause for Concern About Anthony Galea

Dec 18, 2009
Ever since this whole Tiger Woods thing started, seems like every marketing slogan that Team Tiger partners used to present their products through the lens of the perfect athlete has been a punch line.  So, too been scrutinized has been every word that...

Dec 18, 2009
At yesterday's press conference, Tim Finchem talked a little about Jason Sudeikis' impersonation of him on SNL in the last few weeks.  Of Sudeikis' effort, the PGA Tour Commish said, "I didn't think the guy did me very well. He got the tie...

Thinking Globally About Women's Golf in 2010

Dec 18, 2009
Over at Mostly Harmless and Hound Dog's place, I'm trying to get the US golfy media and golfoblogosphere to look at women's golf from a global perspective, first by putting together all we know right now about the major women's tours' 2010 schedules...

This site is one of the most read golf blogs but is also the least involved in being a part of the golf blog community. The biggest negative for this site is its strong ties to SBNation. However, if that association was severed then the site would stand a huge chance of being the perfect golf blog. It comes close to having a perfect design for a golf blog. Lots of good content, photos and other related stories on golf. It keeps the commercializing of the ads to a minimum but they are still there. Hopefully WR will see it can stand alone and drop the non-golfer associations.
