Cat Spencer was very fortunate to get an early start in radio! He was 17 when somebody in Moose Jaw was willing to take a chance on him. Edmonton came next, but he wanted something bigger...Even when he arrived in Toronto he knew that it wasn’t his last stop. The search continued for a winning city with a winning hockey team and a winning radio station. Montreal is the city where the evolution of Cat began.

“About 14 years ago somebody showed me a computer” says Cat “It was the first time I had seen the internet. He said it would change the way we do radio forever!
It’s not too often something comes along that will change our lives forever… but with Virgin Radio we are experiencing history in the making!”

Cat was lucky enough to be in radio through the late 80's (he still has a thin tie and leg warmers to prove it). He was there all through the 90's (started off with baggy MC Hammer pants but eventually switched to the grunge look). And now as we head into 2009, who knows what the future will bring. One thing Cat knows for sure- It’s moving really fast and we're glad you're along for the ride.

At home Cat is the best house-husband to his wife, cheers for the Montreal Canadiens with his son and recently finished the extreme Hannah Montana make-over of his daughters’ bedroom.
